The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between parental involvement in school and academic performance of children. The results of a cluster analysis from a sample of 498 parents or guardians attended by children in grades 2 and 3 of 16 public elementary schools in Chile show the involvement of three different parents considering different forms of parental involvement.
