On many levels, God has used you and our staff in a wonderful way today. You have strengthened the role of each employee, encouraged them to use the Holy Spirit as a witness, practically helped us to be who God created us to be, and did everything with passion and enthusiasm (this is literally “God is in you”), verse and some humor. !
The interactive activities were wonderful and meaningful, and even “fast forward” we have achieved a lot today and we can see how this shakes the world of everyone in COTH.

Although I have been a Christian for most of my life, before I graduated from Ken Ramey’s evangelical class, I finally had the courage to pray earnestly to accept Jesus as my Savior. Our 92-year-old acquaintance, Nancy Halford, was the one the Lord had put in my heart. We visited him from time to time and even prayed with him. One Sunday a few months ago, I asked him if he knew he was going to heaven. He replied, “I hope so.” Then I asked him if he wanted to know. When he answered, “Yes.” Then I asked him to repeat the sinner’s prayer after me. As we prayed, I felt that he was honest. As soon as I prayed, I was inspired to sing, “There is a new name written in glory.” We gave him a large copy of the New Testament, and then they went several times.
More than a year ago, my path crossed the path of Ken Ramey. Ken and his wife, Diane, came to McMinville and the Baptist Church to serve as evangelists. I have to admit that I was skeptical when it came to evangelicals, and as a result, I lost faith in Ken. At first I kept my distance and saw this man come to our church family. One summer day, I was riding my bicycle past a church. Pastor Jason was walking with Ken on the sidewalk. I stopped with them, and Pastor Jason introduced me to Ken and explained that they were on a “Prayer Walk” around the church farm. That was the first time Ken and I had talked. Then, Ken came to church on Sunday before I served. He told me that my wife and I had been introduced to him as potential members of the preaching work. As skepticism intensified, I tried to keep the distance and reduce the supply. I think the last thing I did was “connect” with the evangelist. Ken asked if we could ever meet and discuss the possibility of joining the team. We finally met and talked. I tried to explain that I was not interested in preaching the good news as a student, and my focus was on serving on the Men’s Governing Body. He tried to explain that he not only wanted me to be on the team, but that he wanted me to be the Point man on his team. I tried to refuse with respect. In time, Ken and I talked a few more times. Needless to say, these conversations allowed me to meet Ken, the man; Not just Ken, the evangelical coach. In time, I bought what Ken wanted to do at Bethel Church.
Surprisingly, at the same time, some high school students approached me and asked me to study the Bible with them. In time, this Bible Study Group became a certified Fellowship of Christian Athlete Huddle. This added another dimension to our relationship with Ken. We have partnered not only in preaching the good news at Bethel but also in training FCA Huddle student leaders in high school.
My wife and I were one of the first groups to attend Ken’s Bring My Brother to Christ class, a Sunday school class for adults. He asked me to help with the training and to introduce some of the lessons in his absence. We were also planning an event at the high school called Gym Jam, which will be funded by the FCA Huddle Group. At this event, the Gospel will be presented and an invitation to respond to it will be given. We will need “advisors” to meet with decision-makers. We invited trained Sunday School members to become counselors. Many accepted the invitation, and others at Bethel were hired, and Ken “trained” them to serve as counselors. Now I understand that this is another training. The training provided to the counselors was to help them talk to the student who had just responded to the invitation. Preaching the Gospel is about the “Life of Mission,” that is, getting to know the people in your sphere of influence, living your life for Christ, and bringing them one step closer to Christ. This includes praying for them, caring for them, and sharing Jesus with them someday.

Ken tried to continue his work at Bethel, but unfortunately, the atmosphere at Bethel deteriorated. Needless to say, Bethel was not a healthy church, and despite Ken’s efforts to work with Pastor Jason and the elders, it became increasingly clear that Bethel was not ready to teach missionary life. Nevertheless, Ken and I were able to organize a training for about 20 people over the weekend. Later in the summer, Candy invited Pastor of the First Assembly of God, Fred Rigwood, to conduct a week-long “Meeting of the Camp.” Ken invited me to help with the training. About 25 people attended the training during the week.
I am now “in touch” with the Evangelist. Ken has become not only a service partner in my life, but also a spiritual mentor. He always argues about my thinking and my life. He always encourages me to be a God-fearing leader and to teach the boys and girls I work with in high school to be God-willing leaders. I thank God for taking Candy to McMinville, the Bethel Church, and me. I look forward to continuing to work with Christian athletes in our community churches and McMinnville High School.
For the past two weeks, I have had the privilege of spending some time with Noah. Maybe you have too. Of course, you can contact him by email or phone and know that he is in the early stages of building a ship. You have probably seen it yourself. In fact, my hope is that you will take some time and look at what your five senses can tell you, and you will know what he knows, so to speak, and you will get to work and help.
It does not make sense to build this ark because of the economy, the constant work, and the financial needs of Mrs. Noah, but she does not build it because she thinks God wants her to build it. , he builds. Because he knows that God loves him. No matter what his five senses told him, he was convinced that God was speaking to him. And I believe so.

Of course, I’m talking about Ken and Diane and the new ministry God called them to. By human standards, the challenges that this new direction calls for may be a little daunting, but is this the essence of faith, right? Of course, you know the basics of Real Career and can be convinced of its necessity in the life and ministry of the local church.
I come to this from two different angles. On the one hand, I am one of those who strives to be an effective ambassador in the workplace every day. On the other hand, as a pastor in a secular workplace, I am a pastor of a small local church who is faced with the fact that I can reach people and never will. I believe that as a church we desperately need an evangelist
