In addition, regularly scheduled supplier training is offered with regard to classroom inclusion and management strategies. School District of Palm Beach County: Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System (FDLRS) Child Find Program The Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System (FDLRS) provides diagnostic, instructional, and technical support services for the district’s special education programs and families of students with disabilities. Service centers include 19 centers that directly serve the school district in the areas of child search, parenting services, human resource development (HR) and technology. In addition, the FDLRS network also includes 5 multidisciplinary centers focused on in-depth evaluation and several government projects offering specialized services. In addition, ASHA staff have gathered telepractic resources for members and developed a new Telepractice Evidence Map that includes summarized, evaluated and updated research evidence on telepractic use.
I work for an early intervention practice that offers speech, work and physiotherapy in Southern California. Like many providers in early childhood, we practice and understand the benefits of family coaching. We grow so much more with customers as parents use tips and strategies every day, in addition to our weekly sessions.
With this philosophy in mind, our team has tested this approach via telepractic to help rural families with limited or no access to personal services.

Early Childhood Development Milestones: What You Should Know
We started by identifying underserved rural communities through the regional centers of the California Department of Developmental Services. We learned that every society faces different challenges. Some of the major barriers include long distances between families in need of services; lack of family access to mobile and internet services; and the lack of a bilingual speech therapist to serve the many Hispanic families.
To anticipate the needs of families, we created a technical questionnaire. This gives us a first understanding of what resources families have access to and whether families need computers, webcams or internet services to participate in telepathy. Next, our administrative team helped the family set up our video conferencing platform and test the connection with multiple calls. With tests, we identify potential technical challenges before the session, so that families can get the most out of their treatment time.
