Mount Saint Joseph University offers several levels of scholarships and awards to incoming students to recognize academic achievement. They do not require a separate application and are offered regularly, usually starting in November of the coming academic year. Eligible students will receive a scholarship or award offer.

All traditional student scholarships are renewable if the student is full-time and meets satisfactory academic progress standards. Part-time students and students with a previous bachelor’s degree are not eligible. High school GPA based on a weighted 4.0 scale; The rest of the grading scale will be converted to 4.0. The scholarship eligibility chart below applies only to high school seniors (Class of 2022).

Academic Merit Based Scholarships

Class of 2023 seniors entering Mount Saint Joseph University on December 1, 2022 can receive $4,000* toward their education!

The Austin E. Knowlton Foundation trustees established the Mount Memorial Scholarship in 2009 and have since donated a total of $1,000,000 to continue the scholarship fund for generations of Mount students.

Incoming newcomers; Female students who demonstrate academic merit and plan to major in biology, chemistry, mathematics or computer science may be eligible for this scholarship. The deadline to apply is January 31.

Guaranteed Scholarships Based On Sat/act Scores

First consideration is given to Ohio residents who are accepted to Mt as full-time, first-year students. Among eligible applicants, preference will be given to students interested in pursuing a career in STEM, architecture or design. The deadline to apply is January 31.

Incoming freshmen who demonstrate academic merit are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Eligible candidates must have a letter of recommendation from an alumni/person. The deadline to apply is January 31.

Scholarships And Grants

Students must have at least 12 semester hours of college-level coursework, be accepted at Mt., and plan to attend full-time to be considered for a transfer scholarship. All transfer scholarships are renewable if the student remains full-time and meets satisfactory academic progress standards. Part-time students and students with a previous bachelor’s degree are not eligible. Transfer credit and transfer GPA must be from a regionally accredited institution. The GPA used for scholarship consideration is the sum of all regionally accredited courses. No application is required for the following scholarships unless noted.

Klein Isd Students Awarded National Merit Scholarships

A cumulative college GPA of 3.25, an associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, and verification of PTK membership are required. This award may be in addition to other eligible scholarships. This scholarship is renewable if the student is full-time and maintains a college GPA of 3.0. Part-time students and students with a previous bachelor’s degree are not eligible.

New or current adult students at Mt. with a minimum 2.75 GPA is eligible to apply for this scholarship. Students must complete the FAFSA and submit an application. Recipients of this scholarship are not eligible for need-based state or federal grant dollars. Students with a previous bachelor’s degree or students receiving more than 25 percent of their tuition from their employer are not eligible.
